Character[]
Personally, i like to and have been calling him "Masamune Dante" for a few reasons.
- He uses Dante's Alastor from Devil May Cry.
- His fourth weapon is Uroboros, the name of the organization led by Arius in Devil May Cry 2.
- In Samurai Warriors 2, Masamune fights with 2 guns (pistols) and a sword, just like Dante.

Okay, you've got some valid points there, and the info to back it up. If you are suggesting a name change, I would wait until Capcom's branch representing North America decides what they are going to call him when they release Sengoku Basara 3, which, from what I've heard, is not going to be called Devil Kings 3. Or, we could include your research on the page itself, but I would expect somebody to gripe about it. At this point in time, Basara is not one of their biggest franchises, however. I just like the name "Masamune Dante". I'm not expecting to make a video game character out of it. Masamune Date and Dante are just two of my favorite characters with some similarities, how could you not make a name pun out of it?
