Shinya Okada (岡田 信弥) is a Capcom sound composer and manager employed in 2002 known for utilizing the techno genre in his music. He is also known by the aliases Midnight and LoveShop.

Okada was originally involved with the Mega Man X series of games, starting as a sub-composer for X7. This would be followed later with RPG-spinoff Command Mission (for which he served as main composer) and contributions to X8 and Maverick Hunter X. He would then co-compose Haunting Ground, Monster Hunter 2 and Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure.

As of 2009, however, Okada has shifted to a sound managerial role, usually as an assistant to lead sound manager Mitsuhiko Takano (and formerly Tetsuya Shibata).

Trivia[]

  • In Mega Man X5, composer Takuya Miyawaki is noted in-game to have worked with a "Shinya." As this Shinya is not included on the composer list found in the X1-X6 box set's booklet and Okada himself specifies in the 20th Anniversary sound box's composer interviews that X7 is the "first title in the series in which [he] worked", the identity of this "Shinya" remains inconclusive.
