Mark Wilkins

Mark Wilkins is a playable character in both Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil Outbreak: File 2. These games are spin-offs of the main Resident Evil entries.

Profile

Mark is a Vietnam veteran working for a security company in Raccoon City. Even at more than 50 years old, his robust strength has not diminished. He has tasted the emptiness of war. Now, more than anything, he just wants to live in peace.

Personality

Mark is a very caring individual, who wants nothing more than to see his friends and family safe. More often than not, the other survivors could catch a faraway gleam in his eye as he wondered what became of his wife and children.

Well prepared for the horrors that await the ragtag group, Mark applies his indomitable spirit that was forged in the jungles of Vietnam to whatever task the survivors face. A brave but cautious man, Mark resents the carefree and reckless attitude exhibited by fellow survivor Kevin Ryman.

Appearance

During the Outbreak, Mark wears his SCUTUM security service jacket, black pants and brown boots. His unlockable outfits consist of a military uniform and casual garb.

Personal Items

  • Handgun - (Outbreak and Outbreak: File # 2) - Mark's personal automatic is similar to the other handguns commonly found in the game. Although his Custom Handgun inflicts slightly less damage per attack, the barrel has been modified to inflict more damage at longer range.
  • Handgun Magazine - (Outbreak: File # 2 only) - An extra clip for Mark's handgun, this clip enables faster reloading. It can be refilled by combining it with Handgun Rounds.

Special Actions

  • Guard - Holding R1 and pressing the Cancel (X) button will make Mark guard against enemy attacks. He can fend off common attacks from most frequently encountered foes. However, his virus meter will still increase due to the contact. Guarding against bosses may still cause damage.
  • Full Swing - Holding R1 while equipped with a melee weapon that swings will cause Mark to raise the weapon higher than usual. This indicates that Mark is ready to perform a "full swing", causing more damage than the normal melee attack.
