Hideyoshi, also known as Tokichiro (木下 藤吉郎, Kinoshita Tokichiro), is a character from the Onimusha series of action-adventure games. Like Nobunaga, he is based on the historical figure of the same name.
He is first introduced as a harmless trickster in Onimusha: Warlords, but eventually became a force to be reckoned with as the series progressed. He is the main villain in the game Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.
- After the ending credits of Onimusha 3: Demon Siege, there is an ending where Hideyoshi lead an army, with plans to conquer the world in Nobunaga's place. He is headed to face Mitsuhide Akechi at The Battle of Yamazaki, which is where, historically, Hideyoshi defeated Mitsuhide and gained control of Japan.
- The Hideyoshi character featured in the Sengoku BASARA games is depicted as a giant, hulking beast of a man, whereas his rendition in the Onimusha games has him resembling a small, monkey-like troublemaker. Japanese history books seem to indicate that this is probably a bit more accurate.
