DuckTales 2 is a 2D platformer developed by Make Software released in 1993 for the Nintendo Entertainment System and later ported to the Game Boy in Japan and America at the end of the year. It is the sequel to the 1989 Nintendo Entertainment System game DuckTales.

Re-released in 2017 as part of the Disney Afternoon Collection.

Story[edit | edit source]

Scrooge McDuck has to find Fergus McDuck's lost treasure. This is done by finding seven map pieces, which are in various parts of the world. Scrooge travels to Niagara Falls, the Bermuda Triangle, Mu, Egypt and Scotland. Each of these places contains one of the map pieces and a boss. After all five bosses are defeated, whether the lost treasure is recovered or not, Webby is kidnapped by Flintheart Glomgold, prompting a boss fight that ends the game.

Credits (or lack thereof)[edit | edit source]

Like other NES Disney-licensed titles, this game lacks a credits sequence for the game's staff. Music composition is confirmed to be done by Minae Fujii via contact with Capcom staff.

The game uses 株式会社メイクソフトウェア / Make Software's audio driver, and since the game has a noticable amount of compression, it is possible that Capcom never made a single code into this sequel.
