Credo is a character from the Devil May Cry series. He appears as one of the bosses in Devil May Cry 4.

Profile[edit | edit source]

The leader of the Holy Knights, Credo is a strict man of justice and commander of hundreds of subordinates. He excels in the battlefield as the best of the Holy Knights, and is admired by many. Credo is Kyrie’s older brother and also sees Nero as family, but is not content with his unreliable behavior.

He has an alternate form similar to a Devil Trigger, Angelo Credo, resembling an eagle-like creature. He refers to this as his Angel Form. He can manifest golden spears of energy. When Credo throws one of these spears, a well timed Buster will send it right back at him. This leaves him open for a Buster if the player can get to him fast enough.

Credo turns against Sanctus when Agnus uses Kyrie as a shield against Nero, and is fatally wounded by the Yamato, dying as he requests Dante defeat Sanctus and rescue both Nero and Kyrie.

Credo is mentioned in Devil May Cry 5, when Nero express his regrets for Kyrie at not having being able to save Credo during the events at Fortuna.
