The Andore Family are a group of pro-wrestling thugs modeled after André the Giant in the Final Fight series. They are all part of their namesake clan, who appear to consist entirely of palette swaps, in spite of their genealogy. In the original game, they can be told apart by clothing color:

  • Andore: shocking pink
  • Andore Jr.: red
  • F. Andore: yellow
  • U. Andore: dark gray
  • G. Andore: blue

Andore's Appearances

In Final Fight, Andore wore a shocking-pink leopard-print outfit, a chain running into the pocket of his shocking-pink pants, and thick boots. He attacked with pro wrestling techniques, including a charge attack, a pile drive and choke attack. He returned in Final Fight 2, retaining all of his attacks from the first game, but his outfit had been changed to red overalls. Andore returned again for Final Fight 3, and his costume had been changed once more. Now he sported a white muscle shirt and red denim pants, but retained the chain. He still has the same powerful wrestling moves from the previous games, but now moves rather clumsily and is by far less aggressive than before.

In Final Fight Revenge, Andore challenged Mike Haggar to a wrestling match, with the latter's position as mayor placed as the stakes. The TV broadcast was never aired in Metro City, however, and Haggar never sees it.

Andore made a comeback, along with several familiar faces, in the recent Final Fight: Streetwise. He appeared as one of the pit-fighters that Vito Bracca made Kyle fight initially, for info on Cody. Andore, the former Mad Gear and Skull Cross gang member, seems to have gotten better (albeit slower) in his old age. His moves are absurdly powerful and unblockable, and he can't be knocked down unless he's beaten. In the game, he can be located in Little Italy.

Notes

Although there is no evidence to prove that Andore and Hugo are the same person, there are theories. After starting out with the Andore clan in the first two Final Fight games, it is possible he broke away, joined up with Poison (who he knew from Mad Gear), and changed his professional name to Hugo to disassociate himself from his family. Also, Hugo in Street Fighter III has the same pink-leopard-print-outfit-with-a-chain-belt look as Andore, despite the game taking place years later. Despite this theory, Capcom has not yet disclosed the truth of the matter.
